Kim Watkins Miller is a native of Winston
-Salem, NC. Though she was born in a
small town, her dreams were quite big.
While studying art at the home of tobacco
giant, R.J. Reynolds, during the summer
of 1978, Kim found the wedding gown of
his wife displayed. The color of the
socialite's gown during the time of their
nuptial was Black. From that moment on
she grew a fascination with formal attire.
Kim groomed her skills as a creative force
and accomplished portrait artist. The
University of North Carolina granted her
the honor of the Gold Key Award and two
certificates of Merit in 1985. Mrs. Miller
also earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts
Degree from the American College of Fine
Art in 1989 with Cum Laude Honors.
Since that time Kim W Miller has receive
numerous accolades for eloquent designs

*The Honorable Mention Award in the
1996 Mrs. North Carolina Pageant for
Costume Design for contestant Teri
Peluso.
*Featured Designer in 2003 Bridal
Expo with "A Grand Affair" for Dillard’s,
Lithonia, GA. (Highlight from show are

Designed wedding gown for Shonda Blockerd Leigh shown by ABC’s Prime Time with Diane Sawyer for fall wedding edition aired in April 12, 2004 and the June 2005 Edition of Modern Bride magazine.
